The EBA and ESMA have released a Consultation Paper featuring two draft Joint Guidelines for the assessment of management body members and shareholders involved in Asset Referenced Tokens and Crypto-Asset Service Providers. This aims to enhance suitability assessments, ensuring integrity and trust in the crypto market.
The guidelines set out criteria for evaluating the competence, honesty, integrity, and time commitment of management body members for #ARTs and #CASPs.
Additionally, they provide a method to assess the suitability of shareholders and members with qualifying holdings for authorizations and prudential assessments.
